Anti-Bullying and Inclusion

TRUETH Jin Sun Do exists to include every child. Bullying, teasing, or excluding another student is not tolerated.

This policy is written and in effect as TRUETH practice. Formal board adoption and counsel review are in progress.

Our program intentionally mixes neurodivergent and neurotypical children in the same sessions, to build understanding rather than division. Bullying works directly against that purpose, and we do not tolerate it.

What we mean by bullying

  • Teasing, name-calling, or mocking another student, including about a diagnosis, a difference, or a difficulty during a session.
  • Deliberately excluding a student from an activity or group.
  • Any physical aggression toward another student outside instructor-directed practice.

How instructors respond

Instructors intervene immediately when they see or hear bullying, address it directly with the students involved, and inform the parents or guardians of everyone involved.

Repeated behavior

If bullying continues after being addressed, we will work with the family involved on a plan, which may include a pause from sessions while the behavior is addressed.

Reporting

Any student, parent, or guardian can report a concern about bullying to an instructor or directly to [email protected]. See our Complaints and Concerns policy for what happens after you report.

Status

This policy reflects our current practice. Formal board adoption of the written policy is in progress as we build out TRUETH's governance documents.
