About TRUETH

A Woodinville, Washington 501(c)(3) nonprofit bringing movement-based regulation to children who have not been well served by anything else.

TRUETH Foundation exists because America's pediatric mental health crisis is real, growing, and underserved. More than one in five U.S. adolescents ages 12 to 17 had a diagnosed mental or behavioral health condition in 2023. The share of youth emergency department visits that were mental health related nearly doubled between 2011 and 2020. Seventy two percent of U.S. counties have no practicing child and adolescent psychiatrist, and families routinely wait weeks or months for an appointment.

We are not a replacement for any of that care. We are the part that works through the body, because for children whose nervous systems are overwhelmed, regulation cannot begin in the mind.

What we actually do

We deliver TRUETH Jin Sun Do, a structured group program for children ages 5 to 17, at our Woodinville academy and at partner clinical and school sites. Every session combines structured breathwork, martial arts movement sequences, and emotional literacy practice.

Who we serve

Every child, with a diagnosis or without one. Children navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, trauma, depression, and giftedness find specific support in the methodology. Every other child finds a physical discipline that builds them from within.

We run intentional mixed cohorts. Neurodivergent and neurotypical children train together, which removes the stigma of a mental health program and replaces it with the pride of mastering something hard alongside others doing the same.

How we are funded

TRUETH is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit, EIN 39-2576788, with tax-exempt status granted in September 2025. We serve families on a sliding scale and offer full scholarships. No child is ever turned away for financial reasons.

Donations fund scholarship seats, program delivery at clinical and school partner sites, and the measurement work that lets us show what this does.
